Zeoaqua

As fish feed, they naturally create ammonia that can quickly contaminate the aquatic environment. Toxic ammonia reduces the ability of the hemoglobin to hold oxygen. Zeoaqua has a high selectivity and capacity for ammonium that can be used to remove ammonia from fish farming, fish aquarium and fish transportation systems.

Once the ammonium ion is within the Zeoaqua lattice, it is not water-soluble anymore. When used as an ion-exchange filter medium the Zeoaqua can reduce ammonium content of circulating freshwater from aquaculture systems by as much as 97%. A water purification system using the Zeoaqua as filter can increase in fish density up to 10 times in a fish farm.
